Hey all,
I am profusely apologising for how bad I’ve been at updating lately. All credit has to go to Roz, I’m glad she’s had time because I certainly haven’t. School really is a time killer – even when you aren’t there! I swear, at the moment I hardly have any free time care of school.
Anywho, I just wanted to let anyone and everyone know that Roz and I might not be around much for a week or two, we’ve got exams starting Tuesday. Ahh! So if we don’t post or reply to your comments, we truly are sorry. But school comes first, and right now we need to study. Especially for maths.
I can’t believe we have already reached exams, they kind of snuck up on us really fast. I didn’t even see them coming. But they’re almost here, and they are important so study we shall. But yeah, that’s about all.
Wish us luck and I hope you are all safe and happy!
Have a great week,
~Squishy133~
Hey all,
The new paper is out, the 150th issue to be exact. Wow, what a milestone.
Here’s a brief overview of the new stuff:
- Rory and Rookie go over the closing of the Penguin Games
- Another flash back in ‘In Focus’
- Aunt Arctic talks about whats in fashion and walking more than one puffle at once
- New stuff coming…..such as a furniture, clothing catalogs and a new play. The play sounds like a mystery…cool.
I can’t remember anything else interesting. I’m doing it from memory…

Hey all,
Not a very original title – I know. But it fits.
So, the games have begun, and you’ve probably seen it all by now, but I’ll tell you anyway.
It’s an alright party, nothing too special. Plus it takes time to get the only new free item – the medal. To get the medal, you need to complete all three events, like so:
1. The Marathon: Start at the ski villiage and make your way around the course marked out. You need to stop at each little lamp and make it light up. This can be a little tricky, so waddle around the light until it glows. Then keep going. The race ends at the cove.
2. The 3 Lap Race: This is located at the ice berg. You need to run around 3 times, also making sure the lights glow again on each lap. Same as above really, although you need to make the lap number on the score board thing change, and you do this by waddling over the start line. This can also be a bit hard, so just waddle all over it until the score changes.
3. The Freestyle Swim: Found at the underground pool, you just swim (or rather waddle) a few laps up and down the pool, lighting up the lamps as you go until it says finished on the score board.
Once you finished all 3 events, you can claim your prize, a medal. Not that interesting….
The other two returning free items are the 2 face paints. Blue is the at new ‘Blue HQ’, aka the Pizza Parlour and Red is at the ‘Red HQ’ aka the Coffee Shop. Just waddle ontop of the face painting tables to pick them up. Note: You can get both, not just the one for the team you choose! Don’t miss out…It’s a common mistake.
So, have you picked a team? I go for red! I feel that they are under supported really. Everyone favours blue, well, not me! Although I think CP try to even it out, so both teams get even representation. Not bad…not bad… So, what’s your team?
Also, if you go to the Hockey Rink from the map you see a ice hockey field. If you go from the Snow Forts, you see a soccer pitch.
There’s also a blimp that floats past.
That’s about it really. It’s a 6.5/10 party for me…nothing that special. Enjoy it though.

Hey all,
Sorry for the lack of posts from both Myself and Roz, we’ve been super busy with school. Seriously, we’ve been piled up with homework! That and I’ve been off school with an injured arm, it seems I have torn a muscle in my shoulder and possibly damaged the vertebrae in my back (the little bones on your spine) – nothing too serious though,
.
So, back to CP stuff. I can’t be bothered writing about the paper that came out yesterday, but I will tell you that the Penguin Games are on their way. Sounds similar to the original Sports Party that I love so much, doesn’t it? Guess that means Josh will be right, here come the face paints! Grr..
Other than that, Aqua Grabber has been updated. It’s super hard, well in bits anyway. Our guide will be updated as soon as either Roz or I can finish the game and get around to it.
Knock yourself out trying it though, it’s pretty hard. As in impossible?
Ok, other than that, back to the actual title of the post. So there is a plan to make a ’ship’ igloo. Sounds pretty cool huh? I think so! Although I doubt I’ll get it myself, I love my backyard too much.
The only problem is that Rory (I think it was him?) lost the blueprints for it, so we need to find them. It’s the same sort of scavenger hunt setup that you have seen at Easter etc. So check your upper right hand game screen for a temporary ‘paper boat’ icon. Click it for your first clue. Here are the locations of all the paper boats, Warning: Dont look if you want to find the paper boats youself!! SPOILER ALERT):
- Outside the mine, in the trough.
- Cove, at the lane rope right in the bottom right corner.
- Coffee Shop, on the desk floating in a thingamabob (lol)
- Beach, near/under the rocks. Click it and it will float out from under them so you can get it.
- Pool, floating past in the window.
- Petshop, floating in a water bowl on the right.
- Dock, underneath the jetty, click it and it will float out so you can get it.
- Ice Berg, its on the flat end, down the bottom of your screen.
If you get all of these you can then click continue. You then need to drag all the pieces into place on the board until the stick down together. This isn’t hard, so I’m not going to post a picture (unless it’s needed, let me know if you want one). Just look at the edges of the pieces, some of them are a bit straighter, so they are edge pieces, the jagged ones fit together, so look for the right patterns and you’ll be right.
For all that effort you get a blueprints background. Yay? Oh well, I probably won’t wear it but it’s good enough for what we did to get it, which wasn’t much.
Rockhopper’s also arrived! He’s giving out free brown pirate boots (the same as the black ones…only, guess what? They’re brown!!). You can also buy (if you’re a member):
- Rockhopper Portrait $1100
- Wall Net $425
- Steering Wheel $300
- Life Boat $360
Not too bad of a bounty, if I do say so myself! Snap them up while they are here. If you’re planning on getting the ship igloo when it comes out, I’d buy a few of each of these items, as they are great for decorating! Remember, they won’t be here forever!
In other news, Roz is now a member! Yahhaaa! Yes, she was given membership by myself and a friend for her birthday – which was ages ago, but her party was only recent, so she got it then – for 6 months. Congrats Roz!
That’s about it. Josh has a new site btw, here’s the link. Have fun there!
Have a great day!
~Squishy133~
Josh:
There is also a new stage, Team Blue 2, with a new Whistle, Red and Blue cheerleading dress, and new red track top. The pom poms red and blue have been brought back, so has the moose head and the referee top. There is also a new background there.
Also, if you click on the steering wheel you get a life ring.
And, the brown boots are only the third ever non-member shoes – the first since January 2007.
Hey all,
Well, the new game is confirmed. It’s a music making games which according to Screenhog is ‘cool’. Here’s the post from the CP Blog:
“Hi Everyone!
Ever since Club Penguin began, there has been a DJ table sitting in the Night Club.
The plan always was to turn the DJ table into something more fun, something more interactive, but we never really got around to it.
Until now.
On Friday, July 25 with the launch of the Music Jam ‘08 party, we are introducing the new game! It’s Club Penguin’s first music-making game!

Of course, it’s a little hard to show how cool it is from just a screenshot, since you can’t actually hear the music. But when it launches with the party, you will.
What do you think?
Until then…waddle on!
-Club Penguin Team”
Doesn’t look too bad ehe? Not so good for us musically challenged ones? Maybe we will be able to put the music we make into our Igloos? Not likely though…
CPIP has also finished, here’s the post from their blog:
“Hello Penguins!
The features were successfully launched! Based on your feedback, we’re still doing some tweaking – and fixing a few bugs, but things are looking good.

Next week, the CPIP blog will be closing for the time being. You guys have helped a lot–starting back in March with the Server Test and in April with all the feedback on the site redesign! The Club Penguin Team sends a huge ‘thanks’ for all the work and enthusiasm you’ve put into CPIP. I’ll be posting a final blog next week but I wanted to give you the heads up.
You’ll be able to leave comments until next Wednesday, and we still really want to hear your suggestions and ideas about how to make these features even better.
Until then…waddle on!
-The Club Penguin Team”
It’s a little sad that it’s over, but I’m sure it will be back…I’m sure.
That’s all for now. Have a great day!
~Squishy133~
Hey all,
Looks like the updates are out, I’ve still to log on and check them, but while I do that, here’s the post from the CP Blog:
“Hello Penguins!

- Server selection (this one you’ll notice when you’re logging into Club Penguin!)
- Penguin Mail (click the envelope on the top left screen to try it out)
- Player Card redesign (check out the sorting function!)
- Igloo background (This one just looks really cool!)
- Your penguin name and password will need to be re-entered when you login for the first time with the new features. If you can’t remember your password, just click the Forgot Password link below the login. A new password will be sent to the email you used to create your penguin account.
- You need to have Flash Player 9 installed on your computer in order to play Club Penguin.
-
“Hey There”
-
“Lets Hang Out”
-
“Cool Igloo Party”
-
“Cool Igloo”
-
“Thanks For Sstopping By”
The only thing that annoys me about this is that they switched the icon’s for buddy requests with the one for post cards, so I keep thinking I have buddies. :O
Now, the playercards. They’re pretty cool too! When you click on a penguin to see its playercard, it goes from being blank and then their clothes, background etc. fade in. Pretty neat! Here’s a pic:
Now, to the igloo background! Wow, they’ve made some real updates in the igloos! Here’s a picture of what I saw when I fist walked in:
They’ve added a spy phone! LOL. Also, notice the tree’s in the background? Cool ehe? That changes when your editing, here, have a look:
When you edit your igloo now, you need to click the little disk down the bottom on the left to save it. Also, the background looks like writing paper!
Maybe in the future we will be able to buy different igloo backgrounds?
They also changed the way we look at the igloo’s that have been opened. It reminds me of Neopets really, here’s a pic:
I’ve got to go get dinner now, I’ll try finish updating tonight.
~Squishy133~
Update: [3 Hours Later...]
Mmm, dinner.
Well, strange things are going on in Club Penguin. I logged onto my non-member account, and first I read on the penguin forums that apparently you get some mailI notice when you adopt a new puffle. So I figure, why not check it out. I get one, name it Moo Moo (Don’t ask) and then I see that there is no penguin mail envelope at the top of the page. Weird huh? Bug I suppose…so I go to my igloo, and guess what? The puffle isn’t there! This is soo annoying! I’m going to email them….lol.
Anyway, thanks Josh for the link to the new .swf website, it’s in my blogroll on the side bar if you need it.
Here’s a few other new things I’ve noticed:
-
The green puffle, known as the keeper, has moved over to the Ice Rink. He’s hogging the puck, so now no one can play hockey! Gosh! I don’t know what’s going on – but it’s sure to be in the paper tomorrow – but no hockey playing for a while, I guess.
-
They have slightly changed the font around. It looks weird.
-
They have changed the words that come up when rooms are loading. E.g. Loading Igloo. I know, not important, but it is a change isn’t it?
Oh my! Now the playercards aren’t working! I can add items to my penguin, but I can’t see them on the playercard, nor can I see other penguin’s player cards – they just come up with a blank penguin.
Guess these updates are rather glitchy aren’t they? Well, no wonder a whole heap of people don’t like them. Me, personally, think they are ‘ok’. Some are good, some, are well….bothersome.
Another strange thing I’ve noticed going on is that a whole heap of penguins will be stuck in one spot, mainly the place where you enter the room. It’s really strange! It’s not a famous penguin crowd either, because they just stand there…no moving. GLITCH ALERT!!! *sirens – wooo, wooo*
Other than this news, there is a CP ds game coming out! Weird huh? Here’s the post from the CP Blog:
“Hello penguins!
I am very excited to be the first to let you know about a very special project we’ve been working on!
Ever since Club Penguin was launched, many of you have been asking and talking about a DS game and we’ve been listening. Here’s a bit of what you can look forward to:

I can’t get into too much detail but you might be wondering about the name ‘Elite Penguin Force’. In the DS game you take on a special role as part of the Elite Penguin Force and solve mysteries that even Secret Agents don’t know about!
That’s just the start! You’ll also be able to play some of your favorite mini games and earn coins and other rewards that can be uploaded into your Penguin account!
I’ll have more info in the coming months. We’re hoping to have the game done by this holiday season so you’ll only have to wait a few more months!
As always let us know what you think.
Until then…waddle on!
-The Club Penguin Team”
Coolness. I’ve got a ds, but I don’t know if I will buy it. It would mean I would need to get WiFi, which I have been wanting, but haven’t got around to getting. I wonder what sort of ‘rewards’ are in store?
“Parent accounts are a fantastic way for you, the parent, to be involved with your child’s experience in Club Penguin. Some of the features available with a parent account are:
- Change chat privileges from Standard Safe Chat to Ultimate Safe Chat
- Change penguin password
- View detailed payment, ban, and connection history
- Find out when your penguin account will expire
- Coming soon! – Control the amount of time your child plays Club Penguin in a day. “
Not that my parents would use it, or care, or know about it. But it may be of intrest to some of you…
In normal news, I saw the movie Mamma Mia today. It was super corny, but funny none the less.
My favourite character was Harry, but there was a terrible plot twist that was soo annoying, it’s (Highlight it with your mouse to see, but be warned, it’s a spoiler!!): He was gay! Ahh, not that he was hot or anything…but still, AHH!
And I’m going to Disney on Ice tomorrow! Yay! I know it’s a kids thing, but it’s fun so who cares?
Tell me what you think of all this news, and this very very super long post…I’ll stop now…although it’s a little to far past it to say ‘I should quit while I’m ahead.’
~Squishy133~
Hey all,
The updates for CP are being uploaded right now! Isn’t that fantastic? Hopefully they should be uploaded by this arvo (Australian time) as I think I’m going to the movies, to see Mamma Mia! Should be cool. Anyway, you won’t be able to log into Club Penguin for the time being, as they had to take down the servers in order to update everything. It’s worth it I guess.
Also, voting for the header contest I entered on Josh’s site is currently on, so click the link and head on over to vote for your favourite header at Raining Water! Good luck to everyone who entered and thanks for voting if you do!
I had a really crazy dream last night, maybe I’ll tell you guys about it later.
Lol, it was really strange, as my dreams often are. I have a twisted mind sometimes…
(That was meant in a totally non-dirty way).
Thats about all for me to report, so have a fantastic day.
~Squishy133~
Hey all,
I just found out, the CPIP updates will be out today. Thursday. Goodie!
Here are the two posts about it from the CP blog and the CPIP blog:

As always, looking forward to hearing what you think!Hey all,
What’s coming? The CPIP updates of course! No, of course you didn’t think it was a giant monster
.
There have been two posts on both the CP and CPIP blogs to tell us this, and here they are. I’ll start with the CP blog:
Hello Penguins!
It was great to hear all your feedback about the new catalog items. I’m happy to hear you’re enjoying the new stuff! And speaking of new stuff… the team has been working hard on some new features and they’re almost ready to launch. They’re doing a bit more testing and the plan is to launch them later this week.
As soon as they launch, you’ll be able to login to Club Penguin and check them out for yourself. As always, we can’t wait to hear what you think!! Until then… waddle on!
-Club Penguin Team
The team is ready to launch the new features we’ve been talking about. They are in the last stages of testing and plan to launch later this week! You’ll be the first to know as soon as I hear the exact day!
- New server selection (recommended servers and buddies easier to find)
- Igloo background!
- Penguin Mail (sending and receiving postcards improved)
- Player Card update (sorting items by category)
Thanks for all your great feedback so far–it’s been a huge help as we’ve been working on these features! Keep it coming!
